Best Performance
France are one of the pretournament favourites and won all their qualifying games, up until the last fixture where they drew to Greece fielding a weakened side. With twenty nine goals scored and only three goals conceded in their eight games, they will take some beating this summer, though fourteen of those came in a home win against Gibraltar. After winning the World Cup in 2018, they finished as runners up in the last World Cup when they lost to Argentina on penalties in Qatar. They have a truly world class team from front to back, and will also be looking to bounce back from the disappointing of the last Euros when they were dumped out at the Round of 16 stage by Switzerland on penalties. Their superstar striker featured below was the only player to miss. France last won the tournament in 2000, but were runners up in 2016 when they lost to Portugal in the final.
Player to Watch

Kylian Mbappe
We feel like we’ve been talking about this superstar for well over a decade, but Mbappe is still only 25 years of age as he looks to pick up his first European title for France. He looks increasingly likely to join Real Madrid next season, but his record at PSG has been extraordinary, falling just short of averaging a goal a game for five years for his club.
