Netherlands had few issues in qualifying, where they finished second in their group, four points behind France, who they will face again in the group stages of this year’s tournament, but also five points clear of third placed Greece. They won all of their matches apart from their two matches against France, which they lost, but they did fare well in the UEFA Nations League last year where they managed to reach the semi final stage, but lost to Croatia in extra time. They’ve been strong in this competition, coming in 2nd place in their group two years prior to that and also reaching the final two years prior to that in the inaugural tournament. Netherlands won all their group stage matches in the last Euros, but were knocked out in the Round of 16 after unexpectedly losing to Czechia.
