Mauricio Pochettino was announced as the USA manager back in 2024, and with their world class manager, they will be desperate to do well in their host tournament this summer. In recent tournaments, they’ve gotten far but they havent managed to pick up any silverware - first off in the CONCACAF Nations League in March of 2025, they made it to the semi final stage but were knocked out by Panama before they went onto lose to Canada in the third-fourth play off. Just a few months later, USA made it to the final of the CONCACAF Gold Cup, and despite making it all the way to the final without losing a single game, they came up against Mexico and lost 1-2. The USA have appeared at nine of the last ten World Cups, and they’ve reached the Round of 16 in their last three appearances.
